Selena Gomez Featuring A$AP Rocky – Good for You Review
Following the greatest hits of her last single “The Heart Wants What It Wants”, the former Disney star Selena Gomez chucked with her new single “Good for You”, for her upcoming second solo album.
Kicking off her deal with Interscope Records, Gomez dropped her new single right at the stroke of midnight: June 22, 2015.
Featuring guest vocals from A$AP Rocky, an American rapper; it happens to be Selena’s first collaboration with a Rapper. Co-written by Julia Michaels, A$AP Rocky and Justin Tranter, it is far from Selena’s previous stuff.
In a way it is more seductive, sultry, and entirely different from anything we have ever heard before, left our screens fogged up with that sensual coo…….
The song is mid-tempo, pop slow jam infusing the elements of electro and R&B. Apart from Gomez’s predominantly pop productions, it embraces a hip hop beat evocative of modern turned-down Southern hip hop releases.
The track’s lyrical content hold a theme of self-possession, and hash out lovely and an ideal match for some beloved one.
The song was produced by Nick Monson and Sir Nolan, and co-produced by Hector Delgado and A$AP Rocky.
Being the leading song of Gomez’s album, it was welcomed by the music critics who take it as Selena’s maturity and artistic growth as well as well praised her vocals and track’s production.
Directed by Sophie Muller, the music video was premiered on June 26, 2015.
