“Rehab” is taken from 3rd studio album “Good Girl Gone Bad”. It was released on 6 October, 2008 by Def Jam Recordings as the album’s final single. It was produced by Jannon Lane and Timberland, and written by Timothy Mosley, Lane and Justin Timberlake. The music video was released on 1 June, 2008 and directed by Anthony Mandler.
Rihanna received two awards at American Music Awards 2008 in the category of “Favorite Soul/R&B Female Artist” and “Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist”. Entertainment Weekly’s Neil Drumming noted about “Rehab” “It is really a joyless overdose associated with mid-tempo drama”. Tom Breinan wrote “arrives nearer than normal in order to describing some thing similar to human being feelings, however she nevertheless arrives away appearing just like Alanis Morissette”.
“Rehab” charted at number 17 on the Billboard Pop Songs, at number 52 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, at number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100, at number 16 on the UK Singles Chart, at number 4 on the Norway VG-lista Chart, at number 3 on the Dutch Top 40, at number 12 on the RIANZ Singles Chart, at number 13 on the European Hot 100 Singles, at number 26 on the ARIA Singles Chart and at number 19 on the Canadian Hot 100.
