Ryan Dombell wrote about “Hard” that “the actual bu**etproof will work for the actual record’s higher stage upon ‘Hard’, the strutting work associated with a roiling undertow of the beat through Tricky Stewart”. Billboard noted that “Rihanna efficiently presumes the actual hip-hop position as well as utilizes the best in artist Young Jeezy, who else offers the drive required to deliver the track having a fairly inert refrain house”.
