OneRepublic – Counting Stars Review
The single secondly released from the album ‘Native’ is without a doubt a promising one. That is what is echoed by most ‘Counting Stars’ by OneRepublic review articles. If some of the tracks in the CD make the group sound more like a Coldplay wannabe, this song is unique as it takes the band back to its roots.
Most music critics assert that the track adopts a sound that is reminiscent of most of the songs in their ‘Dreaming Out Loud’ album, which is more inclined into rock. This song combined indie and light rock elements that make it a lot edgier than their previous recordings. It has a chorus that demonstrates the difference although it does not really rely on any catchy hook.
However, as expected, radio airplay support could have been the least concern of the group when it recorded this particular track. It sounded as if OneRepublic is more interested to reach out to a broader array of audiences. Some followers think using this song as a motion picture soundtrack may do wonders for it. There is a reason why this track was picked to be included in the album, which is the group’s highest charting CD so far.
