Jon Pardi – Head Over Boots Review

2015 saw heaps of country music being dished out from everywhere, from the north to the south. I have to tell you half of which, have been awful as hell. It’s not surprising if the artist are going to re-invent the genre so much that you are going to lose the classic feel of country Music. However, all is not lost there are some bright spots like Jon Pardi’s release of Head Over Boots

Head Over Boots saw release on September 14, 2015 on country radio under music label Capitol Nashville and was available for digital download. It spears as the lead single from Pardi’s second studio album California Sunrise.

We have to be honest here you don’t here so much about Jon Pardi. Specially someone who’s been on the struggling end regarding that ‘big break’ track. Though the artist has seen fair bit of critical acclaim from critics regarding, bringing back good old country music. His debut album Write You a Song with singles such as “Missin’ You Crazy” saw peaking at No.29 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs and the single “Up All Night” went to become his top 10 entry.

Head Over Boots has so far sold out more than 405,000 copies. Surely, more than his previous attempts. The song saw peaking at No.59 on the US Billboard Hot 100, securing positions of No.9 and No.15 on the Canada Country and US Hot Country Songs charts respectively.

Though Head over Boots is not a something out of the ordinary, it is a perfect representation of Jon Pardi’s vocal tone and at its heart is a true love song. The verses talk about how a guy is completely falling for a girl in the most ‘Head Over Boots’ way, “I wanna sweep you off your feet tonight. I wanna love you and hold you tight. Spin you around on some old dance floor. Act like we never met before for fun”

The artist intentions are clear in respect to the lyrics, Accompanied by a Catchy tune is what’s seen and surely is engaging enough for the music lovers. Not to forget that it’s fun to listen too. Grabbing the attention when you’re tuning in to your country frequency and stop to hear this playing!

A music video was released on April 2016 directed by Jim Wright.
