Blake Shelton – Gonna Review
Blake Shelton’s most recent hit “Gonna” is a clear, straightforward compliment to the anticipation of kick-starting a new relation, the vocalist performed it with an extra amount of fire, like he was celebrating the nameless promise of being single.
On August 3, 2015, it was first released to radio as the fourth track from his ninth album “Bringing Back the Sunshine”. The track was co-written by Craig Wiseman and Luke Laird. It is a fun song, mid-tempo with little reggae effect plus a soft vocal beat-box and an unforgettable lead guitar riff that plays again before every rhyme.
The track is about a guy professing his purpose to begin a relationship with a woman, build the hook around a word “gonna”. Music critics gave positive reviews to the song.
On August 8, 2015, the song peaked to number 59 on the Billboard Country Airplay, on August 15, 2015, peaked number 48 on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and on August 22, 2015, peaked number 40 on the Canada Country Chart.
