Bad Meets Evil – Lighters ft. Bruno Mars Review

“Lighters” is taken from American hip hop duo (Eminem and Royce da 5’9″) Bad Meets Evil’s first EP “Hell” The Sequel, Shady Records”. The song also features American singer Bruno Mars. It was released on 5 July, 2011 by Interscope Records and Shady Records as the second single from their EP. It was produced by The Smeezingtons, Eminem and Battle Roy, and was written by  Ryan Montgomery, Phillip Lawrence, Roy Battle, Ari Levine, Marshall Mathers and Peter Hernandez. The music video was released on 22 August, 2011 and was directed by Rich Lee who is also the director of Eminem’s “Not Afraid” music video.

Bad Meet Evil performed “Lighters” at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival 2011, on V Festival 2011. It was certified Platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA), Gold by the Recording Industry Association of New Zealnd (RIANZ) and 2x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of American (RIAA).

“Lighters” peaked at number 6 on the Billboard Rap Songs, at number 2 on the Billboard Pop Songs, at number 22 on the Billboard Latin Songs, at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, at number 10 on the UK Singles Chart, at number 3 on the UK R&B Singles Chart, at number 17 on the Netherlands Mega Single Top 100 and at number 4 on the Canadian Hot 100.
