Justin Bieber – Baby Review
To some, ‘Baby’ can be a cheesy and unsavory song but admit it or not, it has become a huge hit that it started frenzy over Justin Bieber. Its release motivated tweens (and probably their parents) to listen to pop music.
No wonder, it became the most appropriate vehicle for Bieber to breakthrough into mainstream music scene with his sweet and soulful voice that many people compare to that of Michael Jackson’s during his teen years.
The track is included in Bieber’s first CD ‘My World 2.0.’ It easily climbed the music charts all over the world, making it one of the most outstanding songs released in 2010. It has an up-tempo beat that blends R&B, hip-hop, dance-pop, and doo-wop elements harmoniously.
Surprisingly, it has received raves and positive reviews from music critics. Underlined are the song’s catchy lyrics and chorus. Ludacris’ participation gave it an urban twist. The track talks about a teenager’s distress over a lost love.
He promises to bring it back. It was simple, a piece that even kids can surely appreciate and sing along with. The production team—which consists of Tricky Stewart, Terius Nash, and Christina Milian—should be commended.
