The Band Perry – Better Dig Two Review

Country music trio The Band Perry has just scored another hit, thanks to the carrier single of its second CD. It debuted strongly on the US Billboard Hot Country Singles after its release in October 2012. Kimberly, Neil, and Reid Perry apparently made sure the song ‘Better Dig Two’ would make waves in the intensifying country music landscape of today.

Critical reception was mostly favorable to the track. Music critics noticed the meticulousness of every technical detail of the song. Also praised is the appropriate rendition and vocals of the singer. It may be organic sounding to some but it has the factors of a smash hit.

The song may not be a feel-good track but the trio indicates its willingness to explore new grounds. The piece has the trappings of a typical old Western folk tune complete with emotional fiddle and plucky banjo.

The vocalist shows off a passionate voice that perfectly matches the finely and intensely conceived wordings. The lyrics are obviously rich in fine details as those have a story to tell. The singer warns her lover without threatening. All those are tucked within an impressive arrangement. The product: one of the most memorable tunes of 2012.
