Mother Monster is best known for her flamboyant, outré, and diverse fashion sense matched with an equally interesting music style. Her Little Monsters (flock of fans) are increasing in number every time she releases a new album. We’re talking about the phenomenal Lady Gaga. Whether you love her or hate her, it is just certain that you cannot ignore her presence through the many Lady Gaga songs. People can’t help but take a look whenever she’s around.

Lady Gaga was born as Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta on March 28, 1986. She is the first born to her New York-based parents, who have two children. She had an affluent upbringing in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, but Lady Gaga recalls that they were among lower-class families in the area. As a Roman Catholic, she was sent to the Convent of Sacred Heart, which is an all-girls private Catholic high school.

When she was 17 years old, she enrolled at the Collaborative Arts project 21 of the New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She was able to hone her songwriting skills there. During the period, she was featured as an unsuspecting victim of prank reality MTV show ‘Boiling Points.’ At 19, she dropped from school and decided to pursue a music career. She gathered some school friends and founded the Stefani Germanotta Band or SGBand, which disbanded soon after. She struggled as a performer and met many other people from the industry. She also came up with her moniker ‘Lady Gaga’ during the time.

In 2007, she was signed by Akon into his Kon Live record label. In 2008, she moved to Los Angeles to work on her first album (with significant Lady Gaga songs) and to establish Haus of Gaga, her own creative team. In August that year, she released her debut CD ‘The Fame.’ The carrier single ‘Just Dance’ took some time to get noticed but became a smash hit. The second single ‘Poker Face’ had an unexpected success after it peaked at most music charts worldwide. The album gained several Grammy’s nominations for its songs.

In November 2009, she released her EP ‘The Fame Monster.’ It paved the way for her much publicized The Monster Ball Tour, which was a hit global concert tour. In May 2011, her second CD ‘Born This Way’ was launched. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and sold more than a million copies on its first week. The singles ‘Born This Way’ and ‘Judas’ drew controversies because the music videos were received with negative reactions from Catholic groups.

Anticipation is building for her newest album ‘Artpop,’ which is set for a Spring 2013 release. She is also looking forward to a collaborative album with jazz superstar Tony Bennett. The two already worked together for the song ‘The Lady is a Tramp.’ Little Monsters, her flock of fans worldwide, are rooting for her first movie appearance via the upcoming Robert Rodriguez flick ‘Machete Kills.’ Terry Richardson is also working on a documentary of her life, the creation of ‘Artpop,’ the many Lady Gaga songs, and the success of Haus of Gaga.
