Justin Timberlake – Suit & Tie featuring Jay-Z Review

Justin Timberlake is back! He may never have totally disappeared from our peripheral vision because of some movies he did but his music has faded for at least six years. Now, he rebounds into the music scene with his third and latest album ‘The 20/20 Experience.’ His musical comeback is something his fans can tag as worth the wait.

‘Suit & Tie’ is a mid-tempo, R&B single. Its slow-drawl intro consists of slow synths and drum claps that may sound out of time. The distorted voice of Timberlake cries ‘awoo’ in an effort to holler and make listeners pay attention. After a while, the song rolls back and gets into its groove.

As expected, critical response was collectively favorable. To many critics, the song sounds like a work of a music artist who has really prepared to stage a comeback. It does not attempt to redefine pop but instead, it picks up from Timberlake’s first ever single as a solo artist, ‘Like I Love You.’

The song can be found in between the grooves of ‘Summer Love’ and ‘Señorita.’ However, some think the song is more of a statement about his return instead of as a catchy track.
