Drake – Started from the Bottom Review

Drake has dropped his fieriest rhymes from his original mixtape. This could be because of the creeping beat coupled with resounding production of this single ‘Started from the Bottom.’

As many of his fans note, Drizzy sounds here like he has always been ready to hit that mic just like how Rocky Balboa has always been prepared to hit the boxing ring.

The single comes as the first to be released from his upcoming third CD ‘Nothing was the Same.’ The Canadian hip hop artist should be proud about how the song was instantly received by even the staunchest music critics.

He may have lacked his hardcore rap appeal, but most listeners could agree that he could not sound better than how he does in this one.

In terms of the lyrics, the song talks about Drake’s childhood and career beginnings. In an interview, he cited how many of his followers don’t have much knowledge about how he started. Thus, this song is an attempt to provide a glimpse into his humble start.

The track has used necessary instrumentation to achieve its ideal sound from piano to drums. It can be considered a departure from all his previous works.
